Labor Day Weekend

We had a nice little visit from Candace, Jeff, and Caroline over Labor Day weekend. They made the long trip down on Friday night and then we got to spend Saturday - Monday with them. We had a fun time! We took the kiddos to the splash pad in our neighborhood on Saturday. They both seemed to enjoy it. This was Jackson's first time there. We all took a nap later that afternoon because we stayed up late Friday night. The adults then went into Charlotte for dinner while Caroline and Jackson played with a babysitter. We had a marvelous time! Sunday we went to Lincolnton to visit with My (Candace and Mike's grandma). And Monday we went to brunch at Toast in Davidson - it is a delicious and popular breakfast/bunch place. We then we hung around the house and grilled out for dinner. The Davis family headed back home on Tuesday morning. As always, we had a great time with them and look forward to the next visit together! Here are a few pictures from our weekend:

Jackson's first time at the splash pad! We were nervous to go before since he isn't fully walking on his own and because the water sprays pretty hard, but he loved it!

Jeff and Candace at dinner Saturday night. We had a great time out - we got downtown a little early so we grabbed a drink before our reservations. We then had dinner at the Custom Shop, followed by dessert at the restaurant next door.Yum!

Caroline helping us feed Jackson! He adores his big cousin. She played with him really well this time. I'm sure it is much more fun for her now that he is more interactive. She did have a few little moments where she was worried he was going to eat all the mac n cheese or that she didn't want her daddy to hold him because he only loves her, but what three year old wouldn't be concerned about these things? :) 

We painted little C's finger nails before she left Tuesday. Purple is her FAVORITE color so that is what we chose. We had to pose a second time because she was worried that you couldn't see her pretty purple nails in the first. :)
